On the weekend of April 15th the Venturing Crew took a group of eight on a full day of strenuous White Water Rafting in Upper New York. Though led by a guide, the crew exhibited the ability to master this exhilarating sport. While four people in total fell into the cold and swirling rapids, the high point certainly occurred before the event took off. En route to the site, coasting over dirt road hills and what was certainly a death trap, one driver, Bosco C, frightened us all as his engine threatened with a lack of gas. Ever the wise one, he used his powers of location, aided by satellites, to find the nearest gas station and ensured that all eight would be able to venture onto the frigid rapids. Crew 728 had a great, albeit rocky, experience.
